Had my WTF appointment with The GES. I’ve learned that it’s best to do these things over the phone, so it was a conference call. He wasn’t happy with me.
He won’t d0 a 3 day transfer, and he won’t do IUIs without a trigger or monitoring.
He then launched into the donor egg talk.
Great.
On to a new clinic…

What does he care if you want to do simple IUIs (wacky that IUI is considered simple in the big picture)? It shouldn’t touch their IVF stats and you’ll be paying them for 10 minutes of work. Lame! Is it possible for you to use a midwife for the IUIs? My gut is telling me that the donor egg suggestion has more to with his stats and getting you out of his hair quicker then it does with the shape of your eggs. Good luck with the new clinic!

What a load of crap! I’ve just put my 3 month old to bed. The direct result of a 3 day transfer.
That makes no sense. I don’t know of ANY clinic that doesn’t do BOTH 3-day and 5-day transfers. I can’t believe you have to find a new clinic! I’m so, so crushed FOR you!
OMG! I can’t believe they don’t do 3-day transfers AND evern more shockingly, that they didn’t TELL you they don’t! You need a better clinic. Shop around, girl!

I think you should ask Mel to post on LFCA for you asking about a good clinic in Chi town. This is absurd, what a total ass. This is so not what you need.
12 eggs is more than enough. I produced small amounts at times and it never phased my doc at all. That doc is an ass!

WTF is right! Sheesh. Did they give you any information about the cycle?? I get that they would want to do monitoring & a trigger if you were doing a medicated cycle- but if you are just wanting an IUI without meds you should be able to do that! I’m so sorry. Ugh
Yeah, he said that out of 2 IVFs (remember, one became an IUI), I produced only 12 eggs and 1 blast. I asked him how many were good at day 3, and he said they didn’t check or grade them at day 3 because his clinic only does day 5 transfers. Ugh.
