I am a volunteer blogger for the Illinois Tourism Bureau blog. I do this because 1) I love to write and 2) I love Chicago (in case you hadn’t figured that out) and I want to share it’s special magic with the world. Also, it’s always been a dream of mine to be a travel writer, and isn’t it awesome that I get to live out my dream? It makes me happy.
This, on the other hand, made me laugh:
Crystals, sugar and skulls, who would have ever thought to combine the two? Navy Pier, that’s who! Celebrate El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in the Crystal Garden, check out some traditional artists, and decorate sugar skulls at this sweetly ghoulish all-ages event. Hours are from 11AM to 5PM.
I went back and edited… after publishing. Yikes. Talk about an epic counting fail.

Ha, like the others, I had to read a few times to catch it too. I’ll blame it on being a Monday!
Rofl ok I sheepishly admit I had to read that over and over to pick out the fail
finally I got it… wow slow brain day for me here!
How sad is it that I had to read it 3 times to catch the counting fail? I think I kept correcting it in my head.
haha – oops! Perhaps accepting a journalist position deadens some brain cells? I know our local paper is practically illegible thanks to the regular grammatical errors contained within its pages! Yours is a simple boo-boo compared to their endless misplaced modifiers and illogical tense changes. They just recently listed a man as having passed away at 95 years of age, despite listing his birthday twice as being December 1919! (He wasn’t even 90 yet!) So, they can’t count either! Chin up!
lol….it happens!
